What the Bible Teaches
That God's Holy Spirit influenced the writers of the Bible so that they wrote divine, trustworthy and authoritative words spoken to the needs of people.
That the Bible is accurate historically from the investigation of archeology and even though it is not a book of science, it remains consistent with empirical sciences.
That there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Bible teaches that the Father is God, Jesus is God and that the Holy Spirit is God.
That Jesus was fully God and fully human, born as the Son of God and the son of Man. He was born to the Virgin Mary by the supernatural influence of the Holy Spirit.
That mankind was originally created in God's perfect image, but fell into sin (choosing our ways over God's ways) and forever severed the natural relationship we had with God.
That Jesus died on a Roman cross was buried and rose from death. In this way he paid the penalty for sin and made it possible for us to be reunited with God through faith in Jesus.
That Jesus ascended bodily into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God the Father. He will remain in heaven until the date God the Father has set for his return to judge the world.
That every person must in belief and faith repent of their sin and confess Jesus as Savior. This is the only plan God has set in place for us to be adopted into his household.
That faith in Jesus determines more than our eternal destiny. It determines the quality and influence of our lives here on earth until he returns or we pass from this life to the next.
That Biblical baptism is for adult believers who confess Jesus as Savior, the Christ (Messiah), Son of the Living God. Baptism is by total immersion, symbolizing death and resurrection.
That Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to come along side as our counselor and power for real, abundant life NOW. The Holy Spirit gives each person a purpose for service in the church.
That the church is the earthly expression of God's heavenly family. While not perfect, God's plan is for people to get in, get good at what He has for them to do and get busy doing it.
That every person is responsible to God and each other to share this Good News with everyone make disciples, pray, fellowship, study the Bible and grow in His grace.That Jesus will come again and there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the wicked to their respective judgments. At that time He will reign forever in a new heaven and earth.
